THE SPIRIT OF
MOMOKAWA
ROH RETURNS

Suigian stands on the historic site of the legendary Momokawaroh in Nihonbashi Muromachi. Once, it was a place where people gathered, arts blossomed, and the spirit of the night came alive. Today, that legacy returns every Friday through MOMOKAWAROH—a new cultural gathering where Japanese traditional performing arts meet cutting-edge music and visual expression.

Where tradition meets the avantgarde

At Suigian, the night itself becomes part of the performance.
The space is intimate, the stage is close, and every element—

from silence to resonance—draws performers and

guests into a shared field of feeling.
Carrying the memory of Momokawaroh,

this is a place where tradition meets the avant-garde.

New culture is always born at night.

A night program unique to MOMOKAWAROH, where traditional atmosphere meets contemporary sound.
Special projects such as TECHNOH LAB., TECHNAGON, and MIKO HOUSE explore new forms of live expression shaped by techno, house, physicality, and performance.
On regular Fridays, the lineup moves fluidly across genres, guided by groove, energy, and the atmosphere of the night.

TECHNOH LAB.、TECHNAGON、MIKO HOUSE

MOMOKAWA GEINAGON

Produced by Hidetomo Kimura, MOMOKAWA GEINAGON is a distinguished collective of female artists exploring new expressions rooted in Japanese traditional performing arts.
Through Japanese dance, traditional music, voice, movement, and spoken expression, the ensemble brings the grace, discipline, and poetic sensibility of classical forms into dialogue with contemporary sound and performance.
Rather than reproducing the past, MOMOKAWA GEINAGON carries tradition forward as a living artistic presence for the present age.
